Students at Grove City College helped pack 70,000 meals for those in need.
College officials say more than 200 volunteers that included students, faculty, and staff got together to help feed the hungry in Mercer and Allegheny Counties.
The meals were purchased with help from local companies and non-profits.
Officials say it’s a part of the college’s wider push to include churches and other organizations in an effort to battle food insecurity in the area, which they say is a significant problem.
