The Attorney General’s office has opened an Elder Exploitation Section that will focus on financial theft and fraud.
The new expansion of the office will provide added protections and services for seniors focusing on financial exploitation, deception, and theft from older residents.
Yesterday was the formal announcement of the opening of the office but the office has already been up and running with 30 active cases.
Efforts to support other sections that support seniors or help prevent crime will continue.
