Pennsylvania has started the process of collecting unpaid turnpike toll fees by filing civil suits and Butler County has seen one the highest rates of unpaid tolls.
The Attorney General office has partnered with Pennsylvania Turnpike to collect toll avoiders of $12,000 or more through civil suits.
Over 100 cases have already been referred to the Attorney General’s office. Most cases consist of commercial drivers and one of the largest cases is a Butler County resident at just over $96,000.
If you owe the Turnpike you can contact the Turnpike to pay the owed amount.
