Governor Josh Shapiro has condemned comments made by President Donald Trump after several lawmakers called for military members to ignore illegal commands.
Thursday morning a group of Washington lawmakers, including two Pennsylvania house members, released a video calling for military members to not follow illegal orders that may come from the President.
The President posted on social media and called for the execution of these lawmakers.
Shapiro defended the lawmakers and said Trump has failed.
“Not only has the President failed in his responsibility to lead this country — he is actively encouraging political violence once again,” said Shapiro. “Ratcheting up the real risk of danger to our elected leaders and deepening the divides in our country.”
