Adams Township recognized three officers for their actions taken during the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
At the township meeting Monday night, board members recognized Patrolman Chris Kopas, Sergeant Edward Lenz, and Sergeant Aaron Zaliponi.
Patrolman Kopas saw the shooter and relayed that information to the sniper. Sgt. Lenz investigated the assassination attempt, and Sgt. Zaliponi fired a shot that’s believed to have stopped the assassin from shooting.
The presentation was given by the Chief of Police, Board Supervisors, State Representative Stephenie Scialabba, and a representative from Congressman Mike Kelly’s office.
