The annual Spirit of Christmas Parade returns to downtown Butler Saturday.
It’s the 60th edition of the parade; which is also Butler’s only nighttime parade.
The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and will start at Penn Street and go to the Diamond.
Over 80 entries have signed up for the parade this year with the theme of “Christmas Through the Decades.”
There will also be pre-parade activities in the former Peoples Gas parking lot starting at 2 p.m. There will be face painting, balloon artists, and games for children.
There will be no parking on Main Street after 3:30 p.m. All of Main Street will then be closed starting at 4:45 p.m. until the end of the parade.
The normal detours will be in place.
