The Pennsylvania Budget will include additional funding for free period products for students in school.
After an investment of $3 million in last year’s budget to provide period products, an additional $3 million has been added this year.
Schools will not have to submit any applications or reimbursement requests and funding will given based on a rate of $1.75 per student.
Schools are also asked to consider privacy, responsiveness, access, and education when figuring out how to best make the products available to students.
