A Karns City man is now facing charges after a verbal argument became physical in Fairview Township.
Tuesday night police were called to a home on the 1600 block of Hooker Road for a reported assault.
When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim who said that after an argument with 36-year-old Daniel Reynolds-Demchur, he hit the victim with a closed fist and then grabbed the victim’s neck and squeezed.
Reynolds-Demchur allegedly admitted to police that he assaulted the victim. He’s been charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail as he awaits a December 16 preliminary hearing.
