The Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt says that wait times for government documents have been reduced.
According to Schmidt, 85 percent of wait times have been cut down while waiting for government documents.
Schmidt says that thanks to cutting red tape, the agency has been able to move efficiently while providing services.
Since 2024, 58,933 documents have been reviewed and authenticated. Since June 30, 2025 the agency is on pace to double that number with 30,027 documents reviewed and authenticated.
