A food distribution is planned for this weekend in neighboring Lawrence County.
The event will take place Saturday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at The Towne Mall Cascade Galleria Plaza in New Castle.
Volunteers will load boxes of fresh milk provided by Marburger Dairy, as well as frozen meat, fresh eggs, a variety of fresh produce and nutritious shelf-stable groceries into the vehicles of families in need.
There is a limit of three families per car. There will not be distributions in January or February due to expected weather, but organizers are planning to resume in March.
