Pennsylvania will be one of 19 states to sue the Department of Health and Human Services after Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. said the health department would block funding.
Kennedy announced last week any DHS would block any Medicare and Medicaid payments to providers offering gender-affirming care to minors.
Oregon quickly filed a suit claiming this decision is a violation of the Administrative Procedure Act and the Medicare and Medicaid statutes. Governor Josh Shapiro joined the suit defending providers.
