A longtime member of the Jefferson Township board of supervisors is in his final days of service.
John Cypher is the chair of the board of supervisors, and he did not run for re-election. He served as a supervisor in Jefferson Township for 25 years.
Cypher was recognized at the last board meeting, along with longtime township secretary Lois Rankin, who is retiring after 42 years of service.
