The Pennsylvania Farm Show served as the backdrop to the unveiling of a new technological tool to help farmers.
Penn State Extension is now offering an artificial intelligence system known as Tilva on their AI platform PlantVillage which uses a wide variety of science-based sources to provide information about agriculture, food, and the environment.
Users can ask questions or upload images for immediate support identifying pests, diseases, and plants, with the ability to interpret soil test results.
Tilva was tested internally for about six months and also offers relevant Extension workshops, online courses and certificate programs based on user interests.
