Major changes could soon be coming to hunting season in Pennsylvania.
On Friday and Saturday, the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners will vote on moving the start of firearms deer hunting season to begin the week before Thanksgiving.
This change would also move bear season one week earlier and shorten the early bear muzzleloader, archery, and special firearms season to a single weekend.
These changes will be considered at the two-day public hearing in Harrisburg on starting at 1 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Friday there will be no public comment but Saturday, those looking to speak would have to register starting at 7:45 a.m. and will be limited to five minutes.
The final schedule will be adopted at the next meeting scheduled for April 11.
