A search is underway for a man who was involved in a police chase yesterday.
According to state police, troopers attempted a traffic stop of a white Hyundai Elantra last evening at the intersection of East Brady and North Monroe Streets in Butler.
The driver took off and led police on a chase into Oakland Township.
Police say the suspect got out of his vehicle and was last seen in the area of Davis and East Butler Roads.
Police say the suspect is a black man, with dread locks, wearing black pants and a black jacket with white stripes down the arms. The car had an Ohio license plate.
Residents in Oakland Township are asked to lock their vehicles and homes.
Anyone with information should contact state police in Butler.
