A major federal grant will help with the continued “Gateway 228” expansion project.
Congressman Mike Kelly announced that $7 million was set aside for a widening project for a portion of Route 228 in Clinton and Buffalo Townships.
The impacted stretch will be for Ekastown Road, which covers from the roundabout toward Route 356.
The $7 million federal award is expected to cover a majority of the project.
