Today is the final day to apply for the new Child Care Staff Recruitment and Retention Program created in with the 2025-26 budget.
The program offers licensed Child Care Works (CCW) providers to give $450 to each employee through the state budget. If submitted by the deadline of today payouts would be expected between February 9 to May 22 for each employee on staff.
If the CCW is planning on hiring staff before June 30 of this year, they can also apply for recruitment funding, but money will only be sent out if there are funds remining after the initial payouts.
$25 million has been set aside from the state budget to fund this state program.
