A Cranberry Township woman is facing charges after being accused of assaulting a police officer.
On Friday, police were called to the Hampton Inn and Suites in Cranberry Township for a woman causing a disturbance.
When officers arrived on scene they contacted 54-year-old Denise Kohler. Hotel staff accused Kohler of causing a disturbance in the common area of the hotel. Officers would give Kohler a warning before being called back and asking Kohler to leave the hotel.
When Kohler rejected, officers placed her in custody and that’s when it’s alleged she kicked an officer.
She’s been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and trespassing. Bail was set at $5,000 and a preliminary hearing has been set for Friday.
