A Butler man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after it’s alleged he struck another man in the head with a baseball bat in Clearfield Township.
On Monday police were called to a home on the 500 block of Carbon Center Road for a man bleeding and losing consciousness after being in the head by a baseball bat.
When officers arrived on scene the alleged suspect 46-year-old Christian Garing was still at the home. When police spoke with Garing he allegedly admitted to hitting the man with a baseball bat and was taken into custody.
Garing was charged with aggravated assault and harassment and his bail was set at $5,000 a preliminary hearing has been set for February 17.
