Felony charges have been added to the case of a man who allegedly led police on a high-speed chase last month that started in the City of Butler and ended in Oakland Township.
On January 19, police attempted to stop 31-year-old Jumal McQueen of Youngstown, Ohio, along East Brady and North Monroe Street. After a chase McQueen is accused of attempting to escape on foot along Fared Drive.
McQueen would eventually be apprehended on Davis Road and would be charged with two misdemeanors and several summary offenses. Then placed In the Butler County Prison as he awaited his preliminary hearing.
On Monday, after a preliminary hearing McQueen will now be facing new charges.
He’s now been charged with criminal trespassing and burglary after attempting to break into a home while on the run from police. He is also facing several new drug charges including manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $300,000 bail as he awaits his trial.
