A Butler man is in custody after a homicide yesterday in the City of Butler.
Police responded to a home in the 400 block of Miller Avenue around 4:00 pm yesterday where they found a man who had died, identified as 69-year-old James P. Hoover. State police say the crime scene indicated that Hoover died by homicide.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Richard Swann II of Butler. He is facing charges of homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, and theft by unlawful taking. Swann is currently in the Butler County Jail.
