Butler County Community College will receive funding from a business organization to give local emergency responders access to the latest equipment and training.
The FirstEnergy Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to BC3 to benefit public safety.
This money will be used to provide the Workforce Development Industrial Safety and Fire/Hazmat programs with new rope-rescue and confined space equipment.
These equipment upgrades will give both professional and volunteer responders access to realistic training for complex rescue scenarios.
