A Butler man who pled guilty to breaking into a home and assaulting a child was sentenced earlier this week.
On Monday, 37-year-old Steven Hudson was sentenced for breaking into a Penn Township home and stealing a bottle of whiskey. Then days later he assaulted a child while attempting to get into another Penn Township home.
Hudson was sentenced to 9 to 18 months in prison with 15 months of probation upon his release for the break in and assault of a minor. Hudson also received a day to year in prison with 15 months of probation for the whiskey theft but that will run concurrent with the first sentencing.
Hudson will also receive credit for time served and will have to pay $2,202 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
