A former teacher and member of the Butler School Board has died.
Peg Dumbaugh passed away in Massachusetts last week.
Dumbaugh was a former journalist who got into education, teaching English in Butler and also serving as the adviser for the student newspaper, The Skyliner.
She would later serve as Butler’s director of community relations and founded the Distinguished Graduate Award. She also was a member of the Butler Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation.
An internment will happen at a point later this summer in Pennsylvania.
Dumbaugh was 97.
