Cranberry Township is moving forward with plans to turf a couple of recreational fields.
Township supervisors approved contracts to install field turf on two ballfields in the Cranberry Community Park. The total cost is just shy of $700,000.
They also agreed to a contract to turf a soccer field at North Boundary Park for $1.2 million.
The contracts were a part of an updated agreement with Seneca Valley Baseball and Softball Associations and the Soccer Association. Both associations are expected to reimburse the township for the projects.
