A Butler man accused of threatening to kill multiple people inside a Butler City apartment last year was sentenced yesterday.
The incident happened last May when police were called to the Terrace Apartments after 58-year-old John Mendicino allegedly threatened to kill everyone.
Mendicino was also walking around with a baseball bat; a K9 unit was used to take him into custody.
On Tuesday, Mendicino pled guilty to two counts of simple assault and resisting arrest.
He was sentenced to two years in prison with 146 days served and one year of probation upon release.
Mendicino will also have to pay $1,637 in fines, fee’s, and cost of prosecution.
