A man who was the head of a drug ring and lived in both Butler and Philadelphia was recently sentenced on federal drug charges.
After being convicted in October of 2024, 43-year-old Qureem Overton was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison followed by eight years of supervised release.
Overton was the leader of a Philadelphia-to-Butler pipeline for fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine from January 2017 to June of 2020.
When Overton was arrested in June of 2020 Butler County District Attorney Rich Goldinger called Overton and the crew he ran “high level dealers.”
Pennsylvania State Police, the FBI, and Butler County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force helped lead the investigation that resulted in the successful prosecution of Overton.
