The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue continued 2026 with tax collections totaling $6.5 billion last month.
Revenue from sales tax in March totaled $1.2 billion while personal income tax was $1.7 billion for the month.
The Motor License Fund received nearly $244 million for the month from gas and diesel taxes, as well as other license, fine, and fee revenues.
March collections were just over 1% more than anticipated or about $92 million over estimate, and the fiscal year-to-date General Fund collections remain nearly $474 million or about 1.4% over estimate.
