During a special meeting yesterday, the Butler Area School District School Board approved a motion to proceed with refinancing a bond.
The board approved the motion during a special meeting because the markets and rates were ideal at the current time.
This approval does not impact acquiring any future bonds for new capital projects, this was just the first step in the process.
Advertising will go out for the new bond and will be under consideration at the next school board meeting later this month.
