Butler City residents and business owners will once again see some street paving accomplished this year.
At their Thursday meeting, Council discussed a bid from Shields Asphalt Paving for nearly $650,000 scheduled to be approved later this month.
Streets scheduled to be paved include:
- West Brady Street from Mercer to Broad
- Broad Street from W Penn to W Brady
- Ridge Avenue from N Sixth to Thirteenth Ave
- Pillow Street from Cunninham to Third Ave
- South Sixth Avenue from Pillow to Hansen Ave
- South Main Street from W Patterson Ave
- North Chestnut Street from W Brady to W Penn, W New Castle to W Brady, and W Penn to W Pearl
- Butler Farmers Market Parking Lot
Council plans to approve a ramp and sidewalk contract with Shields to meet ADA requirements in the amount of just over $150,000. This work is expected to begin next month and if closures are necessary, residents will be notified.
