The Philadelphia Flyers shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0 last night at PPG Paints Arena, and have taken a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-seven Stanley Cup Series. The Flyers scored two goals in the second period, and scored an empty-net goal late in the game.
The Pens had a total of three shots on three power plays in the first period. They ended the night 0-for-5 on power plays and are now 0-for-7 in the series.
After stopping 17 of 20 shots in net Saturday, goaltender Stuart Skinner stopped 20 of 22 shots last night.
The series now moves to Philadelphia for Game 3 Wednesday.

–Carolina held off Ottawa 3-2 in double overtime to take a 2-0 series lead.
–After losing 6-1 in their opening game, the Dallas Stars defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-2.
–The Edmonton Oilers opened their series with Anaheim with a 4-3 victory late last night. Former Penguin Kasperi Kapanen scored twice for Edmonton.
