A Mars man is facing charges after he allegedly strangled a woman.
On Saturday just after 9:30 p.m. the victim reported to Butler City Police that 31-year-old Tyler Sachs assaulted and strangled her at their Butler City home.
The victim told police that Sachs threw her against a wall, tried to choke her, and threatened to kill the victim.
According to charging documents, the victim had visible injuries including walking on crutches. The victim also provided police with hospital discharge paperwork.
Sachs was charged with strangulation, terroristic threats, and simple assault. He’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
