Area residents are invited out to Moraine State Park later this week to enjoy the beautiful weather in the great outdoors.
A park naturalist will lead visitors on a Bears of Penn’s Woods Hike Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wyggeston Loop Trailhead on Christley Road off the Prospect Exit off Route 422.
This moderately difficult hike of about one and a half miles will include signs of bears and what to do in an encounter.
Participants are advised to wear sturdy hiking boots, dress for the weather, and bring drinking water. There is no bathroom at this trailhead.
