An Evans City man is facing charges after he allegedly was in possession of a stolen gun while on parole in Connoquenessing Township.
On April 8th police completed a house check for 29-year-old Michael Bastian at a home on the 300 block of Grouse Road.
Inside the home was Bastian, another man, and two women. One of the women told police that a gun was located in the closest.
Police found the gun and identified it as stolen in August of 2023 by State Police in Kittanning. The investigation into the stolen gun was started by the North Buffalo Township Police Department.
Bastin was charged with receiving stolen property and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 29th.
