This weekend a local State Representative will be holding an event to replace illegible license plates.
A plate is considered illegible when one or more letters are considered unreadable from a short distance due blistering, peeling, fading, discoloration, or loss of reflectivity.
The event takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of State representative Marci Mustello office on Barracks Road.
Butler Township Police will also be on hand to assist with filing out paperwork and hand-delivering it for processing.
The new plate will be delivered to drivers within a few weeks by mail.
