Butler County is taking steps to update their hazard mitigation plan.
A public meeting will take place Tuesday (5/5) from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Department of Emergency Services office on McCune Drive.
Attendees will be able to help review the Risk Assessment portion of the plan as well as see data and ask questions about preparing for future emergencies.
The current plan expires at the end of this year and the county is in the process of creating a new plan that will outline how local governments respond to natural disasters and emergencies.
