A Natrona Heights man accused of assaulting an elderly man at a Cranberry Township hotel has been pled guilty and was sentenced this week.
In September, police were called to the Quality Inn for a reported assault of a 74-year-old man. Police investigated and arrested 27-year-old Jakob O’Brien for the assault.
According to charging documents, the victim happened to be walking by O’Brien’s room before the attack.
On Thursday, O’Brien pled guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to one to two years in prison and 18 months of probation. O’Brien will also receive just over 200 days in prison.
He will also have to pay $1,542 in fines, fees, and cost of prosecution.
