A Westmoreland County man is facing charges for allegedly conducting a fraudulent check scheme to get new vehicles from dealerships, including one in Butler.
30-year-old Timothy Bierly was arrested for the scheme last month.
Police say Bierly would write fake checks from his LLC, Ironopps, to purchase the new cars and then sell them to unsuspecting buyer online.
14 dealerships were impacted by the scheme, including Baglier Buick in Butler.
Police say if you believe you may have done business with Bierly, you’re encouraged to reach out to police if you have information.
Bierly was previously accused of trying to scam his way into buying a $5.1 million mansion in Richland Township two years ago.
