The brother of a convict who recently tried to escape police custody while on work release, is now facing charges as police say he helped with the crime.
On Sunday around 10:45 a.m., 33-year-old Dustin Miller was reported by his brother 35-year-old Joshua Miller as having ran away at the Fairground Market in Prospect. Following an hours long search, police found Dustin Miller on Route 8 in Clay Township.
During their investigation, police found that Joshua Miller of Butler dropped Dustin Miller off in Clay Township, but called police and allegedly lied, telling them the escape was in Prospect.
Joshua has been charged with unsworn falsification to authorities, disorderly conduct, and two counts if hinder apprehension.
Joshua is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
