A plan to remove invasive species from Alameda Park is moving forward.
Crews will begin to remove invasive plants and other unnecessary vegetation from the stream area and lower park trail.
The removal will cover nearly 40 acres of land and officials say it’s necessary for trail development.
They also plan to grow more native plants and maintain tree health as part of the project, which is using grant funding.
