Election Day is set for tomorrow and voters heading to the poll will see electronic poll books.
The tablets were first introduced in last year’s municipal election, but turnout was low. So, some voters might be experiencing the electronic pads for the first time.
They are iPads that eliminate the former poll books that were previously used by precincts. Voters will sign the iPad, which will then print a ticket for the voter. It will also leave a paper trail for the precinct as well.
Election officials say they had positive reception last fall and are expecting it to help with running more efficient elections.
