A new report ranks Pennsylvania as one of the worst states in the country for renewable energy, again.
A study released by PennEnviroment last week, ranked the Commonwealth 47th in renewable energy growth, up two spots from last year.
The study measured six areas, clean energy technologies, solar power, wind power, battery storage, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, and electric vehicle charging stations.
The average national renewable energy growth in the past decade for the United States is around 200 percent, Pennsylvania has seen an increase of only 81 percent.
The environmental group is calling on the state legislator to require utility companies to get 35 percent of their power from renewable resources.
