A prominent local architect who also helped establish a nature park has died.
Tom Succop passed away at his Pittsburgh home last week due to complications from Alzheimer’s.
Succop was a Butler native who became a landscape architect and helped design both residential properties and college campuses.
He was also responsible for donating the land that led to the development of the Succop Nature Park in Penn Township. His family also contributed funding to help build The Succop Theater on BC3’s campus.
Succop was 89.
