The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the St. Louis Cardinals last night, 4-1.
Starting pitcher Jared Jones went 4.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and striking out 6. Jared Triolo went 2-3 and drove in the Pirates’ only run.
The Pirates and Cardinals play again today at 2:15 PM. WISR pregame begins at 1:50 PM.
NASCAR
The final race of the NASCAR Cup Series will be staged tonight at Daytona International Speedway. Hear the race on WBUT beginning at 6:30 PM. Tyler Reddick won the Datona 500 in February. Ryan Blaney is this weekend’s defending race winner.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds take on Tampa Bay tonight at Highmark Stadium. Match begins at 5 PM.
Little League World Series
Japan and Curacao meet in the International title game at 12:30 PM today. Ohio and Nevada meet in the United States title at 3:30 PM. Loser of each game plays tomorrow at 10 AM in the third-place game. The overall championship game will be played tomorrow at 3 PM – and will be nationally televised on ABC.
