A Mercer County man registered on Megan’s Law has been accused of statutory sexual assault in Butler Township.
On Wednesday after being seen with a minor, 37-year-old Paul Rucinski told police he engaged in sexual acts with the minor.
According to charging documents, Rucinski and the victim committed the sexual acts over two days last week in a wooded area near Hansen Avenue.
When brought in for questioning, Rucinski allegedly admitted to the crime. It’s also alleged he registered for Megan’s law in the last month and self-reported the sexual assaults to his parole officer.
Rucinski is facing several charges including two counts of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old, aggravated indecent assault, and sexual assault.
Rucinski was placed in the Butler County Prison his bail was set at $250,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 3.
