A Karns City woman is out thousands after a scam involving gift cards.
State police say a 69-year-old woman from Karns City was defrauded out of $14,000.
The scammer had the woman buy Apple gift cards. She then scratched off the codes and sent pictures of the cards to the scammer.
No other details were available on the scam. There were also no suspects in the case.
