A large grant recently awarded to Butler Memorial Hospital will help provide nutrition education and coaching.
The Henry L. Hillman Foundation of Pittsburgh recently announced a commitment of $200,000 towards the BMH Food Institute.
The funding will be distributed over two years to support food shares, evidence-based nutrition education programs, and staffing.
Independence Health System’s BMH Food Institute launched in 2021 and has provided about 6,000 hours of nutrition education and coaching to more than 2,000 participants.
