Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate dropped to its lowest in two years.
The numbers from the Department of Labor and Industry show the August unemployment rate at 3.7 percent—which is the lowest since May 2024.
That number is down two-tenths a percent from July.
Meanwhile, that number is down from August 2025, which was 4.4 percent.
The largest job gains were in trades and transportation.
