The number of passengers who flew out of Pittsburgh has been down over the year.
According to new numbers from the Pittsburgh International Airport, the number of flights this year is down 3 percent compared to the previous year.
Officials cite the loss of Spirit Airlines as the primary reason for the decline.
They are expecting a bounce back next year as there are new international flights out of Pittsburgh, including direct flights to Ireland and more.
