A Butler man is in the Butler County Prison after being accused of breaking into the Cranberry Township home of a former girlfriend.
The incident happened Thursday around 6:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Bucktail Drive when 33-year-old Cody Grupp broke into an ex-girlfriend’s home.
According to charging documents, Grupp broke a window to get into the home and sat inside for two hours waiting for the victim to return.
Once home the victim found Grupp naked in her bed. The victim is allegedly told Grupp to leave the home as he was violating a protection from abuse order. The victim also accused Grupp of threatening to kill her while holding a kitchen knife.
Charges against Grupp include burglary, terroristic threats, and simple assault. His bond was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 2nd.
